SUBLIMATION PRINTING

One of the most creative, innovative and superior means of printing today is sublimation printing. Sublimation printing uses a cutting edge scientific method to delivery extremely crisp images when compared to other printing methods. It can be applied to garments, including sports shirts, jerseys and singlets, custom t-shirts, pants, jackets, hoodies and tracksuits, school uniforms, and much more.

Sublimation Process:

It is up to our clients to get creative and come up with a concept of their design. After then, our clients can choose how to work with us to best bring their custom design to print life!

Option 1. Complete artwork is supplied to us in a High Res Vector File. Once approved and signed off, we then get to work on printing the artwork on pre-selected garments from the online Design Lab.

Option 2. For a fee, our Graphic Design team can create a unique design based on our client’s creative concept. As per first step, once the artwork is approved and signed off, we then get to work on printing the artwork on pre-selected garments from the online Design Lab.

Option 3. If our clients have difficulty coming up with a design concept on their own, we will guide them through the online design process to select the right ‘Category’ (i.e. netball uniforms), ‘Type’ (i.e. singlets, dresses or skorts), and ‘Garment’ (i.e. Swirl dress or Flash dress), that best suits their design needs. Once we receive signed approval, the printing process begins.

Please note: there is a minimum order of 30 items. Turn around takes approximately 6 weeks after signed artwork approval.

Benefits:

Sublimation gives you the power of full customisation!

One of the major benefits of sublimation printing is that no plates are required. No permanent materials need to be created in this process. Because of this, our clients have the ultimate level of customisation, which can all be done digitally.

Sublimation printing is very different from our other printing options. The process uses a solid ink instead of the liquid ink used in ink-jet or laser printing. The solid ink is heated and imprinted on the desired product. The solid ink is turned directly from a solid into gaseous vapors, which work their way onto the item. This means the entire image is transferred as is, instead of being reduced to tiny dots that are then printed onto the product.

Sublimation printing is also better for the environment. Other methods of printing involve a liquid stage. This requires a much more significant amount of water when compared with sublimation printing, which uses very little. Sublimation printing produces very little waste in comparison to other methods. Because of sublimation printing’s unique method of using solid ink, the amount of ink used is much less than that used in other methods. Overall, the waste produced and materials used are minimal when compared with other popular printing methods.
