Brandworx is dedicated to embedding circular economy principles throughout our product design, manufacturing, and end-of-life management processes. We recognise the environmental and social benefits of minimising waste, extending product lifecycles, and facilitating reuse and recycling, principles that align closely with Essential Energy’s sustainability goals.

PARTNERSHIPS
& PROGRAMS

Brandworx has partnered with Upparel Recycling for over eight years, working collaboratively to ensure the responsible recycling of uniform textiles. During this time, Brandworx has successfully secured a high volume of local and federal government contracts, supporting large-scale uniform supply and recycling initiatives across multiple sectors. Through this extensive work, Brandworx and Upparel have helped divert thousands of tonnes of end-of-life workwear and corporate garments from landfill, making a substantial positive impact on waste reduction and environmental sustainability. Upparel specialises in repurposing and recycling these materials,
closing the loop on uniform lifecycle management and championing circular economy
principles. Upparel holds B Corporation certification, demonstrating that it meets high standards
of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. Through initiatives
like the “Beyond Labels” capacity-building program, Upparel partners with Assist Ability Australia
to train and support people with disability by involving them in hands-on roles like sorting and
preparing textiles for recycling. They also maintain an open-door policy for charities,
not-for-profits, and social enterprises, enabling these organisations to access usable textiles—
and even return unused items free of charge—supporting both social and environmental goals.
